The Blues and then the Blues...

- Indira Dutta

The Blues in the Making…

It takes two to tango, hundreds to build a monument and several brains to make an evening a success.

Blues, the event of the year, the day that brings hopes, expectations and a lot of new memories on board, to organize the same was indeed a challenge for the team designated. Flying ideas, concept building and excitement to organize every detail with precession were what led to the formation of 10th Jan 2010.

Team work can create wonders and Blues truly proved the saying right, The entire team at Mustard, the admin team along with Asad were the people backstage who worked day and night to see that nothing remained unattended. Blues indeed was a learning experience; it made us understand the difference in planning and execution, and also made us make planning turn into execution. The only guideline given was the ‘Blues’ should be an evening that would create memories for a lifetime.

For the team that worked round the clock on the Blues had just one challenge…that was to create five hours of perfection that would be cherished for the next 50 yrs, the only thing that we had to keep in mind was ‘to let nothing slip off our minds’. After the successful execution, we now look back and cherish the learning experience. It was indeed opportunity in disguise.
From scripting to executing everything was co-ordinated or rather it would be better to say that every process had the involvement of our CEO Mr. N Chandramouli who trigged innovative ideas and also showed us the easiest way of executing the same, therefore all in all it was a experimentation of the untried and unknown which finally resulted in the ‘Blues’…

Blues, well to get everything to perfection we did literally get dipped in the color, but the outcome resulted in a glory that made us feel proud of the color we were living for a month.
If next time when we have more to come…we would just say, BRING IT ON!!!
