EDITORIAL

ATTENTION!!! READERS OF CULTURE CURRY!!!WE HAVE BEEN BLUTTERFLIED...
This edition of Culture Curry was completely taken over by team Blutterflies. From contributing through articles by almost every member of their team, to organising the Independence Day celebrations on 14th Aug., they took charge of it all. We applaud their initiative and encourage others to do the same...

With this edition we also bid farewell to the monsoons, who having finished their allotted spell, are saying their goodbyes...

AND SO IT ENDS. . .

Ex- Blutterflies team lead and part of Culture Curry editorial, Subhash Pais, in his open-ended article, uses the platform of CC to convey his gratitude to almost all at Bluelotus

How come all good things come to an end and they say that the best endings are the ones that are abrupt and keep a small window open? Oops, there goes the film buff and writer in me, let loose on a real life situation that is this piece for the Culture Curry. Anyways it gives me great pleasure to write this on this slightly wet, slightly dry, Independence day. I can start by wishing you the very best as Indians and also by thanking all of you for the ball that I had in my time at Bluelotus. So where do i start; maybe that wet September afternoon and my train ride from Bandra to Churchgate, and the boil i was on when i entered the office to meet Pooja. I would honestly start by thanking Pooja for believing that i was worth spending time on and for pestering Mouli to do so. I thank Mouli for getting pestered and offering me the opportunity to work at Bluelotus. I do not believe that I would have come this far if not for one person. I would then in my very much ‘Oscar acceptance kind of thank you note’ acknowledge Wayne's contribution to my time at Bluelotus. The times have been memorable and we hope to carry the friendship forward.

To my Blutterfies who gave me the opportunity to manage an all girls team for the first time. While initially there were butterflies in my huge stomach, they were soon eased out by the girls inducting me into the team with relative ease. I firmly believe that Isha, Anuja, Parinaz and Vinayak have the ability to move mountains with their sheer dedication towards their work and I am sure will be hearing a lot about them in the near future (Those will be proud moments for me as well).

I would also like to thank the likes of Shikha, Diana, Prathamesh, Anil, Pournima, Rohini, Vandana, Anupriya, Priya (Mustard), the Culture Curry team, Piyush Jain and the Blue Bytes team. I would also like to thank quite a few people for many an enjoyable moment that I have had and the outstations especially, Chitra and the Pune team as well as some others with whom I had the chance to interact with; Karthik, Poornima V, Shruti, Jasleen, Deba, Archana Sharda and Kiran.

I guess I should stop before this turns into a voters list.I take your leave but I hope this is not Goodbye...
